Leader

On June 25, 2026 , the Somos LEADERs meeting was held for the first time, which allowed the LEADER model to be valued, experiences to be shared and links between the different agents that are part of this ecosystem to be strengthened, reaffirming the importance of collaboration and joint work to face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the rural environment in Spain.

The day combined reflection, dialogue, knowledge and exchange of experiences through different spaces and formats; a main stage that hosted the participation of institutional representatives, experts, professors and journalists specializing in rural development, as well as representatives of the two national networks and LEADER projects, and the presentation of awards intended to highlight the work of different actors in the LEADER ecosystem, proposed by each of the autonomous communities.

To foster dialogue, the event was complemented by a LEADER Fair , which brought together stands from various autonomous communities and the two national networks of Local Action Groups (LAGs), along with a secondary stage for showcasing projects developed in different regions. In addition, a LEADER Achievements Map was created collaboratively. The day concluded with a surprise final performance.
